On occasion, a bad or outdated cookie can create an undesired experience using a website. Here are ways to remove cookies, cache, and temporary files as a troubleshooting step.
Chrome
- Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar (the 3 vertical dots located under the X to close the window)
- Select Settings
- Select Clear Browsing Data
- In the Time Range drop-down - select All Time to delete everything
- Check the boxes of the types of information that you want to delete
- Click Clear Data
Firefox (Windows OS)
- Click the Firefox menu on the browser toolbar (the 3 horizontal lines located under the X to close the window)
- Click Library
- Click History
- Click Clear Recent History
- Choose Everything in the Time Range To Clear to delete everything.
- Check the boxes for the items you want to delete (e.g., Browsing History, Cache, Cookies)
- Click Clear Now
Microsoft Edge (Chromium based)
- Click the Settings and More (3 horizontal dots in the upper right)
- Click the Settings option
- Click Privacy and Services
- Under Clear browsing data, click the Choose What To Clear button
- In the Time Range drop-down - select All Time to delete everything
- Click the Clear Now button
Safari (Mac OS)
- Click on Safari (at top left corner of browser) in the menu bar. Click on Preferences.
- Select the Privacy tab.
- Click on Manage Website Data.
- Select Remove All and click on Remove now in the popup.
- Check in Advanced tab, if Show Develop menu in menu bar is selected. If not, Check the box.
- Select Develop in the menu bar on the top of the screen and click Empty Caches to clear Cache.
